Dark Chocolate Strawberries & Bananas in Granola

 

This desert is what we call nutrient dense.  By dipping the fruit in chocolate you are getting all the health benefits of the fruit and minimizing the amount of chocolate you are eating. And by ” Double Dipping!” you get the bonus of the protein & zinc rich enerjIve™ buckwheat granola!

Prep Time: 10 mins  |  Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients (Makes 8 Serving)

  • Dark Chocolate – 170 gm ( look for gluten or dairy free if you need at your local health food store)
  • Almond  Milk – 1 1/4 cup
  • Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
  • Fresh Fruits like Strawberry,  Banana
  • enerjIve™ Buckwheat Granola 

Directions

  1. Break chocolate squares into smaller pieces and drop in a medium sized bowl and set aside.
  2. Combine almond milk  in a saucepan and place it over medium heat. Stir constantly and bring the misture to boil.
  3. Remove the mixture from heat and pour it over the chocolate. Wait until the chocolate has melted.
  4. Whisk the mixture until smooth. Add vanilla extract, and whisk it in.
  5. Place the choclate sauce in a pot.
  6. Arrange strawberries , banana slices and enerjIve ™ chocolate fix quinoa snack crisps on a plate around the chocolate pot.
  7. Arrange a dipping bowl full of the enerjIve™ Buckwheat Granola or your favorite granola
  8. Use a fondue fork or salad fork to spear the fruit,  or protein crisps, then dip it in the chocolate.
  9. For a double dipper, then dip in the granola for more libido boosting power!
  10. Reheat the sauce if it becomes too thick.
